OK, in response to many requests:
I have lost track of the number of people who ask me if I have a simple but effective program for recording details of a trip. Like where you've been, how much fuel you used, how much money you spent on what, etc. I keep hearing of one or two other such programs out there which either don't work as expected, or don't offer satisfactory support afterwards despite a substantial purchase price.
So I've designed one.
It's an Excel spreadsheet, and it requires Microsoft Excel in one form or another to be available on your computer.
It has a separate page for Fuel costs, Accommodation costs, Food costs, Vehicle expenses, Other expenses, Contacts (ie people you meet on the road) and a Journal (a record of where you've been and when). Plus a copy of the "Stuff to take" sheet that is included with GN101. And a summary sheet up front that brings it all together on one page.

It's not complicated, and anyone who knows a bit about spreadsheets could do the same. But it took me many hours to get it to this stage, so it's a case of why re-invent the wheel when you can get this one so cheap.
When I say cheap, I mean $10 + GST. I am offering it at this price because I don't intend to provide much after-sales support for this product. So exactly what will I offer?
What I will do: I will consider any suggestions for improvement, and will take on board any actual faults that are pointed out to me. This will include free upgrades to existing customers at my discretion.
What I won't do: I won't have time to offer individual assistance to people regarding use of the sheet. (But trust me, as long as you know how to use a mouse and a keyboard, and know how to copy and save a file, you shouldn't have any problems at all.) Nor will I offer refunds. (Remember, you must be able to open Excel Spreadsheets on your computer.)
I am also keeping it cheap in the hope that people will pay the price rather than going to the trouble of obtaining pirated copies. I'm not protecting the sheet in any way, so copying it is easy. I just hope enough people will be happy to make what is essentially a small donation for my design time.
